Mentoring

Developing Umpires of all standards can benefit from mentoring.

Towards Into Officiating (IO) Award

Once you have completed both England Netball 'Into Officiating' zoom modules, you need to practice umpiring before you take your IO award assessment.

Kent Netball arranges practical workshops every few months throughout the year to give beginner umpires an opportunity to start officiating. Those that have attended the England Netball zoom courses will be advised of these practical sessions.

Learners can also contact their local leagues and clubs for practice opportunities. For leagues click here

Into Officiating to C Award

Kent Netball is able to offer official mentoring to learners who have attended a C award course and have passed their C award written paper. If you wish to be included in the scheme, please contact our County Officiating Lead, Caroline Duggan in the first instance. A mentor will be allocated, subject to availability.  Mentoring before passing the written paper can be organised informally through the candidate's local league. For leagues click here.
